Neurodevelopmental Evaluation
Children develop at different rates. An assessment of a child’s development and motor skills will help children learn to develop head control, sit, crawl, balance, and walk. Individualized developmental therapy can assist in achievement of normal motor responses and skills, and elimination of abnormal movement patterns. Parents learn ways to enhance their child’s development and enable their child to develop to her or his full potential.
-
Behavior Management
Parents can learn effective skills to manage their child’s behavior and lifestyle. A behavioral assessment will help a child manage frustration, and decrease tantrums. During therapy, a child’s ability to listen and follow directions improves. Every child can develop more effective communication and conflict resolution skills. As they become more confident and calm, children are more creative, have better problem solving skills and more resilient.
-
Focus and Learning Skills
Children need prerequisite perceptual skills in order to read, write, enjoy school and do well academically. Parents will learn how to help their children focus. Screening will determine a child’s aptitudes and abilities in the five brain pathways of learning: focus, visual, sensory-motor, listening and social skills. Based on the results of an assessment, a specific individualized therapy program will be designed using materials and toys selected to maximize the child’s learning potential.
